Wierzchowice, Jawor County

Wierzchowice ((ドイツ語:Haselquell; until 1937: Würchwitz)) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Wądroże Wielkie, within Jawor County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Central Statistical Office (GUS) – TERYT (National Register of Territorial Land Apportionment Journal) )〕 It lies approximately north-east of Wądroże Wielkie, north-east of Jawor, and west of the regional capital Wrocław. Commune leader of Wierzchowice is Wadim Baczmański.
Prior to 1945 it was in Germany. After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration and ethnically cleansed according to the post-war Potsdam Agreement. The native German populace was expelled and replaced with Poles.
